Food Labelling & Nutritional Calculation
In the food industry, precise labeling and nutritional calculation are not just regulatory requirements—they are essential components of consumer trust and brand integrity. At Food Safety Pro, we specialize in providing comprehensive food labelling and nutritional calculation services to ensure your products are accurately represented and fully compliant with all relevant regulations.
The Importance of Accurate Food Labelling & Nutritional Calculation
Regulatory Compliance: Food labelling is governed by strict regulations that vary by region, such as the FDA in the United States, the EU Food Information for Consumers Regulation (EU FIC), and others. Compliance with these regulations is mandatory to avoid legal penalties, recalls, and potential damage to your brand's reputation.
Consumer Trust and Transparency: Consumers rely on accurate labelling to make informed choices about the foods they consume. Transparent and honest labelling builds consumer trust and loyalty, enhancing your brand's reputation in the market.
Health and Safety: Proper nutritional labelling is crucial for consumers with dietary restrictions, allergies, or health conditions. Providing clear and accurate information helps consumers manage their health and make safe food choices.
Market Competitiveness: In an increasingly health-conscious market, detailed nutritional information can be a significant selling point. Highlighting the nutritional benefits of your products can attract health-conscious consumers and give your brand a competitive edge.
Mandatory Requirements for Nutrional labelling

d). If the product contains no added salt a statement indicating ‘naturally occurring sodium’ may appear in close proximity to the nutrition declaration, e.g. ‘This product contains no added salt. Salt content is due to naturally occurring sodium.
Nutrition labelling regulations apply to all pre-packaged products.

Our Services
Nutritional Analysis: We conduct comprehensive nutritional testing to precisely determine the nutritional content of food products, including macronutrients, micronutrients, vitamins, and minerals. When lab testing isn’t feasible, we rely on reputable nutritional databases for accurate calculations related to recipe ingredients. This approach ensures precise information for product labelling and consumer awareness.
Label Design and Compliance: As part of a regulatory review, we ensure your labels comply with all relevant regulations, including allergen declarations, ingredient lists, and nutritional information. We verify the existing labels for accuracy and compliance, making necessary adjustments to meet regulatory standards.
Ingredient and Allergen Declaration: We ensure all ingredients are correctly listed and identified on your product labels; allergen declarations are clearly made for any potential allergens present in your products to protect consumers with food allergies
Health Claims and Marketing: We assist in obtaining Regulatory Approval for health claims and other marketing statements on your product labels, making sure all health claims are substantiated with scientific evidence and comply with regulatory guidelines.
Training and Consultation: We provide staff training on the latest food labelling regulations and best practices and offer ongoing support and consultation to help you stay updated with changing regulations and industry standards.
